This isn't pizza, it's just a triangular cut bruschetta.

Day 10

Our final breakfast at Le Mas Perreal was my favorite, banana pancakes and of course fresh OJ, watermelon cubes with cinnamon dusted yogurt, and coffee.

We were on the road to the Pyrenees by 9:45 and after stopping only once for gas, we were in Bagneres de Luchon where Stage 16 of the Tour ends and Stage 17 begins.  We wanted to check out viewing possibilities…they didn’t look good, so we'll go to plan B tomorrow.  Leaving Luchon, we headed over the Col de Peyresourde, which the Tour will ascend on Wednesday, to Arreau, about 45 minutes away.

Just as we got out of our car in the Hotel d’Angleterre parking we were warmly greeted by the owner, Marie Helene Aubiban.  This is our 8thstay at this hotel, so over the years we have become very friendly with Marie Helene, she even follows my blog!

We unpacked quickly and then took a quick walking tour of the village just to familiarize ourselves and check out what had changed….very little, and that’s OK.

We returned to our hotel room, rested, showered and then made our way down to the hotel’s dining room.  Our meal was superb, as was the wine.  We love this place.  Nothing's easier than finishing a wonderful meal and then just taking the elevator up to your room.  I'm feeling very decadent.
